Donna Elizabeth Reid

It is with heavy but loving hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Donna in her 80th year. Surrounded by her loving family, Donna’s legacy will live on in our memories, especially her commitment to her husband and family, her dedicated ear that would listen to everyone’s stories and woes and commitment to making a warm and loving home. Donna was the light of her devoted husband Terry’s life for more than 40 years and his is just one of the hearts that is broken by her passing. Cherished mother of Jackie (Dave, predeceased), Kim, Judy, Tracey (Mark), Susan, Lisa and Jeff (Heather). Loving Grandma to Caleb, Brittany, Andrew, Cameron and Jacob. Adored by her sister Shirley (Allen) and Linda. Loving aunt to Tanya and Brad (Danay). She will be missed by many extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank all her friends and staff at Heritage Green Retirement Home for welcoming her into their community, as well as her health care team at Hamilton General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton - Mental Health would be appreciated by the family. Visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, (at Kenilworth) on Saturday February 25 from 2-4pm. Private burial to follow at a later date.
