Douglas Ward Griffin

Doug is survived by his everlasting soulmate and loving wife, Lillian. Loving father of Melissa (Ron), Kimberley, Chantal (Adam), and the late Joseph (Megan). Dear Papa of 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Doug will also be missed by his mother, Patricia (the late John) and siblings Ken (Leslie), Bill (Debbie), Don (Donna), Barb (Doug), Helen (Jeff) and Bob. Survived by sister-in-law Helen (Ray) and Clara (Donald). Predeceased by his brother-in-law, Charlie. Doug will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his special four-legged buddy, Mooky. Doug was a very strong man whose sense of humour and love for his family will always be cherished.

Friends will be received at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, September 27th from 1:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-9:00 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, September 28th at 1:00 pm. According to Doug's wishes, cremation will follow.

Special thanks to all the caring and supportive staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, the Hamilton General Hospital Cardiac Unit, PSWs and social workers for all their kind and compassionate care. The family would especially like to thank Doug's family doctor, Dr. Joseph Bassey. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
