

Predeceased by her husband William McMillan, her parents Andrew and Elsie Peat, and her brother Stanley Peat (Betty). Loving mother of David McMillan, Dale Carey (William), and James McMillan (Laura). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sarah, Jessie, Lon (Kim), Rachel (John), David (Karina), Michael (Jenn), Tyler, Meagan, and Ryan, great-grandchildren Wyatt, Abby, Alexandra, Mackenzie, Joseph, Samantha, Taylor, and Ryleigh, Gail McMillan, and her niece Chris Peat (Lambert), plus many other extended family and friends.
Born on July 7, 1931 in Toronto; she married William Earl McMillan on May 17, 1952 in Toronto.
Mom worked at Bell Canada for over 20 years; after retiring, she volunteered at The Olive Branch, serving
and helping the homeless. A very religious woman and avid church goer, she and the family attended Bethany Gospel Chapel, in Hamilton. She became one of the first Deaconess at Bethany after the passing of her husband. Marjorie was very talented at sewing - making numerous wedding dresses for many years, knitting, painting, an avid reader, and an excellent baker - baking platters of sweets for many clients and friends.
The family wish to thank the staff and volunteers at the Meadows LTC - Ancaster, especially Cindy, for their compassionate care.
In accordance with her wishes, a private graveside service has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Trillium Clubhouse in St. Elizabeth Village, 35 Jaczenko Terrace, Hamilton, ON L9B 1T8.
