
Edith Aileen Archer (Hunt) passed away peacefully September 6th, 2012 in her 92nd year. Edith was predeceased by her husband Roy, brother Wesley John Hunt, sisters Alma Creeper and Hazel Beveridge. She was a loving mother of Arlene (Ron) Book and Judy (Dick) Walters; a wonderful grandmother who was always happy when sharing time with her grandchildren Elizabeth, David (Anne), Richard (Amanda) Walters, Melody (Darin) and Mike (Kelly), also step grandchildren Ron, Richard, Robert Book and great grandmother to 18 dearly loved great grandchildren. She will be missed tremendously by her sister Marjorie (the late Bill) Wilkinson and many nieces and nephews, especially Ron and Joyce and Beryl in California. Edith kept busy as a Past District Deputy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Matron 4 times and Life Member of Westminster Chapter. She was also past president of the Anglican Business and Professional Woman’s Association. She was a member of the Church of the Ascension having been on many committees in the past. She kept bowling for over 50 years with her many friends keeping them happy with wonderful fun-filled trips. Edith will be missed by her longtime friend Betty. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Macassa Lodge for the wonderful care she received. Visitation will be held at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East on Sunday, September 9th from 6–9 pm and on Monday, September 10th from 12 to 1 pm.
