Growing up in Burlington, Ontario, Ed bought his first home in Stoney Creek, situated on the shores of Lake Ontario, and undertook a complete renovation of the property. Throughout his life, he was drawn to water and eventually settled in his dream home on Lake Erie in Leamington, Ontario, with Jackie in June 2020.
Ed was known for his strong work ethic. He started his career as an hourly employee at the Ford Motor Company, Oakville Assembly Plant, and progressed through various roles, culminating as Superintendent before retiring after 37 years. He was admired for his honesty and integrity by both management and the CAW. Upon relocating to Leamington, he served as a Superintendent at Highbury-Canco.

He was a guitarist in the Lithuanian band Žagarai, performing at numerous events across the United States and Canada, including weddings and cultural gatherings.
Ed had a love for machinery and toys; the more significant, the better. He was known for his resourcefulness and creativity, capable of tackling any challenge with a MacGyver-like approach. He had a positive attitude, and the word "No" was not in his vocabulary.
Cycling brought him immense joy, particularly when riding with his children. This hobby has allowed him to create countless memories with them.
Ed courageously battled cancer, displaying a strong desire to be with his family. He has now found peace with God, his son, and his mother, becoming a guardian angel to his loved ones.
