Eleanor Gregory

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother on January 6, 2013 just short of her 88th birthday. Loving mother of Scott and his wife Laurie, and Guy and his wife Beverley. She was very proud of, and will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Caitlin, Braden, Sara, Whitney, Chelsea and Taylor. Norma is predeceased by her husband Paul Gregory, her sisters Mary Bearman and Marion Forbes, and her brothers Tom and George “Scotty” Wright. She is survived by her loving sister Jeannie Greenough. She will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends. Norma proudly enjoyed a very active life curling and golfing up until this past fall when her health would no longer allow it. As a member of Glendale Curling, her life was enriched by many special friends and acquaintances. The family would like to extend special thanks to the many nurses and Doctors at the General Hospital for their kind and attentive care. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family will gather together at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1774 King Street East) on Tuesday, January 8 from 6 to 9 pm and Wednesday, January 9 from 10 to 11 am to celebrate Norma’s life. A formal service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
