DUNCAN, Elizabeth Yule Ross (nee Muir) It is with heavy hearts we mourn the loss of our beautiful Mother, Betty, who passed away peacefully on December 29th at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in her 92nd year. Betty is now reunited with her beloved husband Alex (2001) and her much loved daughter Isobel (1979). Her memory will be cherished by her loving family, daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Larry (a.k.a “her Buddy”); son Alan and daughter-in-law Barbara and much loved grandsons Kyle, Scott and Corey; and her devoted niece Janet McKechnie. Also mourning Betty’s passing is her nephew Allan Duncan, niece Jean Johnstone, cousin James Mulhearon, and many great nieces and nephews who made up her “Scottish Family”. It is the family’s wish that in the sadness of this occasion, we take a moment to celebrate Betty’s life and the very special lady that she was. Betty will be resting at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennel Avenue East, Hamilton. Visitation Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Cresmount Thursday, January 3rd, 11:00 am, to be followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Many thanks to her “Carrington” Family for all the love and respect shown to Betty during her ten wonderful years in residence at Carrington Place. A heartfelt thank you to Physician Assistant Emily Sokolov, all the nurses and PSW’s , 4th floor Cardiology Unit, St. Joseph’s Hospital for their gentle care, respect and compassion shown to Betty and her family during this difficult period. And just at the moment when someone says “She’s gone”, there are other voices ready to take up the glad shout “Here she comes”. “What a beautiful difference one single life made”
