I know you will always be in our hearts and mind,
So Bobushka, I must go, but I'll never forget you're one of a kind!

In case some of you are unaware of whom I am, I am the youngest grandchild of many. I wanted to take this opportunity to reminisce about some memories of Bobushka.

Growing up and being a Korobkin had many benefits.
We as children learned love through our grandparents.
As kids we were always visiting and while visiting we received many many goodies.
Bobushka used to take her wooden bowls to the basement and allow us to over indulge with neopolitian ice cream and also Pop Shoppe Gingerale. 
She would try and sneak money in our pockets or place money in our hands to go and purchase our own goodies at the store.

As the seasons passed, one would see the beautiful garden Bobushka was ever so proud of. We used to sit outside at the picnic table and talk about her ventures to Canada.
She described the hardships when she arrived to Canada and all the hard work and labour that was put into her home. She would tell these stories to anyone that would listen. Anyone listening could tell from the moment she spoke that she was a helpful, kind and admired by all.
She never spoke negatively about anyone. Her main concern was others happiness.

Christmas started at Bobushka's every Christmas Eve with out fail. At first the family could fit upstairs in the dinning room however over time we had to venture to the basement since our family was growing rapidly.

I am sure that we could all remember the one ordament Bobushka would place on her Christmas Tree. The one with the little bird inside the ordament which would sing when someone would pass by, usually scaring the people that were unaware of the ordament, and amusing others that were around.

Anyone that was going to visit Bobushka on Fridays knew that she would not be available since that was her day to go to Aunt Lydia's to get her hair done. Bobushka would go no where with out her hankerchief on her head making eveyone notice her hairdo.
When the grandchildren would introduce Bobushka to anyone, they would remember her as their own Grandmother, just by the comfort she was willing to give to anyone and everyone.

Looking back on her life, of troubles, sadness, and happiness, one memory sticks out and will never be forgotten.

If you remember visiting with Bobushka you would definitely remember this.
After visiting with Bobushka and spending time with her, the visit would soon come to an end and good byes were said. We would get into our vechicles and before exiting the drive way you would notice the curtains pulled back with a little lady waving good bye.  Now it's time for us to wave good bye to her, but instead of waving good bye, lets wave and say "until we meet again".

Thank you for everything Bobushka.  You will live on with us forever.

it's a sad day, but be comforted that she lived a long wonderful life.  I'm sorry for your loss.
