Beloved and devoted wife of the late Fernando DeClerico (2012). Cherished mom of Tina DeClerico and the late Joseph DeClerico (2012) and mother-in-law of Christina DeClerico. Loving Nonna to Nicole "Nikki" Delaney and Taylor Celeste DeClerico. Loving sister of the late Joseph Lombardi, the late Maria Radica, the late Lina DiBartolomeo and the late Modesta Paolucci (the late Rafaele). Loving aunt to Mary Christie, the late Pat Paolucci and many nieces and nephews in Italy. Cherished daughter of the late Orazio Lombardi and Anna Flacco and daughter-in-law of Giuseppe DeClerico and Concetta Bellasame.

Esperina will be truly missed by many friends in the neighbourhood in Canada and Tollo, Italy.

Esperina absolutely loved going on family vacations to their condo in Florida. A devout Catholic, Esperina was an active member of St. Eugene's Parish for over 55 years. She loved gardening, cooking, being the "Grandma" of her street, but most importantly known for her devotion to her family. She was always making cookies for the neighbourhood children, having coffee and conversations with her friends and loved to learn about others' lives and families. She was always generous with her kindness and time for others. Everyone will remember her fondly for her positive spirit, smiles and laughter.

A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and West Oak Village Long Term Care Facility for their incredible care and compassion for Esperina.

Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton for visitation on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 3:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road, Hamilton, on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
