Euphemia "Effie" Spearing

Passed away peacefully in her 86th year surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a courageous nine-year battle with kidney disease. Loving wife to the late Ronald (2019) for 67 years. Much loved Mom to Jeff, Greg, and Wendy (Gerald). Proud Grandma to Kevin (Jenn), Graham (Amanda), Ryan (Alina), and Craig (Caressa). Cherished GG to Logan, Adrianna, Laura, Evan, and Autumn. Chosen Grandma to Sherri (Shawn), Eliana, and Caleb. Will be missed by her sisters-in-law Susan and Carol and families. Effie enjoyed her many trips to Collingwood for the Elvis Festival, playing the slots at the casino, and doing various crafts with her many friends at Deerview. Friends and family will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME – 322 Fennell Avenue East on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Effie’s memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada – Ontario Branch, 1599 Hurontario Street, Suite 201, Mississauga, ON L5G 4S1, www.kidney.ca.
