Having lived a truly beautiful and remarkable life spanning more than a century, Eva leaves behind a steadfast legacy reaching through five generations.
Eva was the beloved wife of the late Gerald King and the late Frank Towns. Cherished and devoted mother of Gladys (the late George). Proud grandmother of George (Sherri), Teresa, Flo (Tom), Gina (Sean), John (Charlene), and Denise (Doug). Loving great grandmother of Kristen, Stephanie, Faith, Ethan, Nolan, Tommy, Randy, Maddy, Laura, Samantha, Kyle, Amanda, Jordan, Cody, Felicia, Katelynn, and Cortney. Treasured great great grandmother of Mason, Jaceyon, Levi, Lilly, Leo, Evelyn, Ariela, Ellie, Royce, Violette, Chloe, Isaac, Jacob, Mateo, Sophia, Kylie, Ava, Aliyah, Myah, Secora, Matthew, Grayson, Jenn, Jordan, Tessa, Aubrey, Jayde, and reunited in Heaven with her precious great great grandson, Lincoln. Predeceased by her 13 brothers and sisters, Eva will also be forever remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, whose lives she touched with her honesty, resilience, and enduring love.
Eva was a hardworking woman whose strength carried her through every season of life. She worked on farms and as a sewing machine operator, all while lovingly raising her daughter and caring deeply for those around her. Her determination, strong spirit, and unwavering devotion to family were evident in all she did.
Her home was always warm and welcoming, often filled with the smell of fresh baked tea biscuits and johnny cakes prepared for family visits. Some of the fondest memories shared by her family were the beach barbecues overflowing with laughter, playful food fights, and faces covered in mustard and ketchup, all signs that the fun had truly begun. Eva was known for speaking her mind with honesty and humour, and both the staff and residents at Cedarwood Village grew to love her wonderfully unfiltered ways. She lived fully, loved fiercely, and leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who knew her.
Though her footsteps may no longer walk beside us, her family can take comfort in knowing her spirit remains ever near. And when life feels heavy and there is only one set of footprints in the sand, may they remember that she is still carrying them with love.
