CAIRNS, Evelyn Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Juravinski Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2011. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Charles (April 2004). Loving mother of Charlene, Michael (Marlene), Douglas, Marsha (Rob), Brian (Lindsay), Janet, Vicky (Jerry), Amy (Dane), and Ryan. Loving Nana of Jenny, Derek, Chantel, Maddilyn, Robert, Jordan, Andrew, Kristina, and Jacob. Beloved sister, sister-in-law and loving aunt to many. Will be greatly missed by her friends at Skyline Resort. Special thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. Visiting will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP).
