Francesco "Frank" Di Francesco

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, father-in-law and nonno, Francesco "Frank" Di Francesco, on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at the age of 79, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Frank was the loving husband to Maria (nee Di Stefano) for 55 years. Loving, supportive and devoted father to Vince (Martina), Susanna De Tullio, Tina Grzicic (Dave). Proud nonno who will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Ryan, Isabella, Adam, Matthew, Erica and Alexander. He was also missed by the family dog Zorro. Frank is predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Assunta. Survived by his sister Ilda and brother-in-law Ermando Novelli and sister-in-laws Elda (late Guiseppe); Dorinda (late Bruno); Apollonia (Leo); Gilda (Guiseppe); and Felice, as well as his cousin Emma. Frank will be missed by many other cousins, nieces and nephews from Canada, United States and Italy. Frank was well loved by all who knew him. A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Allega and his VON nurse Karyn for their care and compassion. Visitation to be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East on Sunday, March 12th from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held at 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua, 165 Prospect St N, Hamilton, on Monday, March 13th at 11am.
