After the gift of 90 years of life, on October 10, 2021, Francis Jerome MacDonald received his angel wings. It is with much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Francis. Beloved husband of Carmel for 66 years who patiently cared for her with love, especially these last few years. Loving father of Linda (Wayne), Danny (Tracy) and Lisa. Devoted grandfather to Jeff (Danielle), Stephen, Tara (Giulio), Allie, Graeme (Stephanie), Sadie and Cecelia and great-grandpa to Madeline Marie. He is pre-deceased by his siblings Donald, Wallace and baby sister Christina and will be sadly missed by Margaret, Elmer (Joan), Angus, Sylvester, Catherine, Bernadette, Eugene, Allan (Teresa) and Theresa (Raymond). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Francis was a proud member of Steelworkers Local 1005 for 38 years. He was an avid fan of hockey - Leaf nation has lost their #1 fan - baseball, golf, boxing, country music and ice cream. Francis will always be remembered for his kind and caring ways and his ability to make others feel special. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Village of Wentworth Heights and the Cardiology team at the Hamilton General Hospital.
