Reunited with his sweetheart of 66 years, Helen (nee Toma, January 9, 2010). It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Robinson: our Dad, Papa to his grand children and Great Papa to his great grand daughter. He celebrated his 92nd birthday just a couple of months ago. After being apart for 6 years, Frank will be together again with Helen. Frank will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. He will be especially missed by his son Ed Robinson, daughter Joanne Bartlett and daughter in law Carol Robinson. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Dave Robinson, Kelly Bartlett (James Dunlop), Tracy Bartlett and Teresa Robinson (partner Wes March). Adored by his great grand daughter Bobi Robinson. Survived by his sister in law Marg Toma. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his bantering partner and drinking buddy Wally Waldron. Frank was the last of his brothers, Fred (1994), Jack (1987) and George (1981). Also predeceased by son in law Ken Bartlett (2003). "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" We all have our special and unique memories of Frank: summer camping trips; visits to see his brothers and sister in laws, road trips to spend time with cousins in Buffalo; Sunday dinners together; him enthusiastically gobbling down his sweets; watching western movies together; burning rubber in the 72 Cutlass; how intently he listened to our point of view; discussing Murdoch Mysteries plots; and how he wholeheartedly adored Nana. We all admired and remember how he could fix almost anything and if you were interested he would patiently show you how to do it yourself. We were blessed to have shared so many precious moments with someone so kind and generous. Our Dad and Papa worked hard all his life: in the mines in Caledonia, as a milkman, and a HVAC professional all in the Hamilton area. More remarkable than his love of a project to keep him busy was the love he had for his lifelong sweetheart Helen. Teenagers when they married, they shared a lifetime together. Not one day passed in their 66 years together when they weren't together square dancing, playing euchre, enjoying the Florida sun, or enjoying life with their family. We all cherish those precious moments they spent together with us. We would like to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to Dr. Junaid, a wonderful family doctor. Thank you also to the PSWs who helped care for Frank over the last couple months and to the attending Hamilton Police officers who made a difficult time easier on the 29th. Thanks to Cresmount Funeral Home for being so kind and helpful. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
