Frank Riso

Frank was a devoted father to the late Hans Ruch, Rita (Bob Fillmore), Barb (Paul Moroz), and Alfred Ruch. He was a proud and loving Opa to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Vince Riso (Lynda). Frank was predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Sara Riso (née Cusano), as well as his siblings Luis Riso (Jenny), Anna Varrasso (Corrado), and Vita Gennaro. Frank will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends in Canada & Italy.

He will be fondly remembered for his passion for sports, especially baseball as a dedicated fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed football and was a loyal supporter and season ticket holder of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In the kitchen, Frank’s talent for Italian cooking brought joy to family and friends alike.

Frank and Wally shared a love of travel, making many cherished trips to Italy and Germany over the years to visit family and friends. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at The Wellington Nursing Home for their exceptional support throughout Frank’s residency. A special thank you to Cindy and her team for the kindness and love they showed him.

Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington.
