George passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 8, 2014 at the age of 70. Beloved father of Tim (Holly) and Kimberly (Marc). Fondly remembered by Margaret. Dear brother of Donna (Dick), Valerie (Harry), Pat (the late Ken), Debra (Angelo) and Bob (Cathy).He will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends. George was a proud Hamiltonian, an avid sports fan and was a retired employee of Stelco with 39 years of dedicated service. George’s loving personality and unique story telling ability gained him many immediate friends. He always made people feel welcomed and loved. Special thanks to the staff of Regina Gardens for their exceptional care. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 7-9pm where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11am.
