Unexpectedly, with family by his side on October 25th, 2011 in his 85th year. Dear husband of Nancy for 60 years. Loving father of Carol Vinall and her husband, George and Ian Dobie and his wife, Margo. Cherished papa of Christopher and his wife Gillian, Sarah, Andrew and Stuart and great papa of William and Abbey. He is survived by his sister, Margaret and predeceased by his twin sister, Elizabeth. George was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, #163.
His family will receive friends for a memorial gathering at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
