Giorgia Gaetani

After a courageous battle, Giorgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 26, 2012 in her 83rd year. Gone to be reunited with her loving husband Renato, beloved mother of Teresa Discenza (Tony) and Aldo Gaetani (Sandy). She is the devoted nonna of Antony, Linda, Stephanie, Steven and Natalie, dear sister of Wanda (the late Antonio), and sister in law of Giacomo (the late Giuglia). Predeceased by her siblings Elsa (Luigi), Anna Marie (Franco) and Enzo (Teresa). Giorgia will be fondly remembered as a seamstress extraordinaire, an avid gardener, a strong person who lived each day to the fullest. She taught us to face every challenge with strength and determination as she did when she learned to drive at the age of 70. A special thanks to all the wonderful family, friends and health care givers who supported Giorgia and her family, a special thanks to Lillian, Margaret, her Bella Chelsea and Drs Major and Russell. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday September 28th from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Vigil prayers at 0:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday September 29th 2012 at 11:30 am. Entombment in Our Lady of Victory mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers donation to the Juravinski Cancer Center or St Anthony of Padua Church would be appreciated.
