Giuseppina "Josie" Pacini

Happily, reunited with her beloved husband Silvio Pacini for 55 years. Loving Mamma of Graziosa and Massimo Delmonaco. Dearest Nonna of Marcus, Brianna and Patryk. Great friend to Giulio, her beautiful canary. Loving daughter to the late Armido and Livia Pacini. Loving daughter-in-law to the late Domenico and Graziosa Pacini. Dearest sister to the late Dina (Florindo), Gino and Stefano. Survived by her brother and sister-in-law Marcello and Gisella. Dearest sister-in-law to the late Maria (Desio), Martina (Raffaello), Raffaello and Giacinto (Darlene). Survived by her sister-in-law Diva Pacini. Giuseppina will be missed by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends, both in Canada and Italy. She was also known as "Ma Mere" and "Tatta Josie," to many family members and close friends.

Josie immigrated to Canada at the age of 19-years-old when she married Silvio. She began a new journey in her life, learning to speak and write in English. She made many friendships, explored lots of jobs and found joy travelling back to Italy on vacation to see her family and friends at Lucchio Alto. Her famous quote was, " L'Italia si porta nel cuore ! " Josie had many hobbies which she enjoyed like going to the mall, going to the casino, meeting friends for coffee and listening to her favourite Italian singer Gianni Morandi. Josie was a strong, kind, patient and affectionate woman who adored her grandchildren. A special thank-you to all the staff members at Hamilton Health Sciences for the compassionate care given to Giuseppina.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. Hamilton on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 5pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 416 Mohawk Road, Hamilton on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington, Ontario.
