Gordon Arthur Farrenden

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Henderson/Juravinski Hospital on Family Day Monday February 16, 2015. Gord Farrenden in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Ruth for 62 years. Dear father of Connie (Mrs. John Alexander) of Hagersville, Diane (Mrs. Rod Sturrock) of Stoney Creek, Ruth Huckson (Dave Pawlik) of Hamilton & Janet (Mrs. Todd Easton) of Cayuga. Grandfather of Dave Alexander, Amanda (Mrs. Dave Kurtz), Matthew & Kelly Sturrock, Curtis Sturrock & Rosslyn, Cassie & Richard Howard, Daryl Huckson, Lindsey Huckson & Josh, Julie & Ian Pawlik, Todd Easton & Summer, Farren Easton & Dalton Easton. Great grandfather of Dakota, Jeremy & Kady Alexander, Elliott & Kaylee Howard & Parker Easton. Dear brother of Eleanor Lennox of Hamilton. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and by many friends. Gord was a retired employee of Dofasco.

The family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday February 19, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday February 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
