Nick Woodworth was comforted and held close by his loving family as he passed away peacefully early Thursday, May 5th at the Juravinski Hospital on Concession Street, 4 weeks shy of his 80th birthday due to complications arising from Parkinson’s disease. He will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 57 years, Irene (Chalupka), his four sons: Mike, Dave, (Sandy), Shawn and Daniel. He also leaves behind 4 loving grandsons: Myles, Justin, Noah and Luke of whom he was very proud. Nick was born in Ancaster, Ontario and lived the majority of his life in Hamilton. Nick was a long time employee (37 years) of Case/International Harvester in Hamilton. He will be received by family and friends for a Celebration of Life on what would have been his 80th birthday, June 2, 2016 at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East at 11:30 am; reception to follow. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the things I can see and the wisdom to know the difference. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint." You be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by your family. We are glad that you are finally free of physical pain and you will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made on behalf of Nick to the SPCA and/or Sick Kid’s Hospital in Toronto.
