Hannah Samson

Loving mother to her sons Cal (Sheri) and Joel (Cindee) and proud 'Amma' to Shane and Kyle.

Hannah was born in Glanbane Co. Tipperary Ireland, to parents Jeremiah and Catherine, along with her siblings Mary Kate, Alice, Thomas, Kitty, Eddie and Teresa. Having lost her parents at a young age, Hannah was raised by her older siblings. She had lasting memories of her times growing up and a very special affection for the family pony ‘Moll’.

Hannah left Ireland in the mid 1950’s graduating nursing college in England. She moved to Canada in 1957 settling in Hamilton ON, working as a registered nurse at the Hamilton General Hospital.

In her retirement years, Hannah enjoyed travelling back to Ireland to visit her siblings and cousins, touring Canada with her good friend Woolly and frequent trips to Florida with Lorne and friends. She and Lorne loved spending time with their grandsons and were always very interested in their many sporting activities.

A family gathering will take place to celebrate Hannah’s life.
