Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, May 7, 2016, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband George (1996). Loving mother of Robert (Diane) Hlohinec, Jo-Anne (Rick) Simpson, Shirley (Bob) Herdman, John (Linda) Hlohinec and Helen (Michael) Greer. Cherished Babush of 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Helen will be dearly remembered by her extended family and many friends from Club 60 in Stoney Creek. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa for their care and compassion. Family will receive friends at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St E, Hamilton (905-547-1121) on Tuesday, May 10, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 304 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
