István "Steve" Fényes

Steve was born on June 1, 1939, in Monor, Hungary to his late parents István & Esther Fényes. He is survived by his devoted wife Anna (née Trajbár)of 45 years, his stepchildren Lisa Vaski, Les (Jen) & Ed (Evelyn) Szarka, his grandchildren Michael (Meghan), Dan (Sarah), Jackie (Jessie), András, Tamás and great grandchildren Delilah, Harrison, Lauchlin, Beckett, Tyler, Lou and Nico.

He is predeceased by his beloved sister Esther (Árpád) Thámm of Hungary and will be greatly missed by his niece Vera (János), as well as her children.

Steve was a devout member of the John Calvin Presbyterian Church of Hamilton for the past 60 years. He will be sadly missed by many neighbours and friends.

Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth), Hamilton (905-547-1121) with visitation on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
