Survived by sons Paul and Marco. Grandfather of Joscelyn (Dan) Deavu and Dakota Bottos. He will also be fondly remembered by many friends, especially Zita Miracle and her family.
Italo was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada when he was 18, joining his brother, Mario (Alberta) in Hamilton. He started his career as a cabinet maker then spent the majority of his working life as a contractor building homes with the Construction Workers, Local 6.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and travelling to Florida. He was known to barter in the neighbourhood, doing odd jobs for folks.
The family wish to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Thursday, January 8th from 4 - 7 pm. Cremation will follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's Hospital would be appreciated by his family.
