Peacefully passed away, with his son by his side at St. Joseph’s Hospital on April 22, 2013 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Marija for 53 years. Loving father of Josip (Therese). Cherished Deda of Shannon, Jessica, Jacob and Julian. Special uncle of Mary Igercic and great uncle of Rick and Joanne. Dear brother-in-law of Katica Domladovac and Anna Islic and her family. Predeceased by mama and tata, Grga and Kristina, his sisters Bara, Mara, Kata, and brothers, Ferda, Mija, Tomo. Special thanks to Bayshore PD nurses, Dr. Brimble and nurse Judith Flaherty, as well as nurses of 7th Floor Nephrology For their exceptional care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 9:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
