Jack Henry Jackson

Beloved husband of Sheila for 64 wonderful years. Loving father of Jack Jr (Debra Lochhead), Scott (Marie Bosnic), Teresa (Clive Oosthuizen) and Tamara (Darrin La Pointe). Cherished Grandpa to Jordan, Brittany (Tim), Hayden, Sydney (Andrew), Matthew, AJ (Courtney), Samantha (Steve), Alex, Cameron, Brandon and Brittany. Adored Great-Grandpa of Alice, Carter and expected another great grandchild from Brittany & Tim. Jack is predeceased by his parents, Minnie & Charles Jackson, in-laws Mary & Bill Dalziel, brothers Jim and George, brother-in-law Paul and is survived by his in-laws Colleen (Lloyd) and supportive Bill (Jane). Jack will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family in Ottawa and Calgary and his many friends. Special thank you to Judy and Gail.

Jack was a longtime employee of Dofasco for over 30 years. Following retirement, he took on a second career as an Insurance Broker for over 10 years and finalized his career as a driver for Award Limousine. He was an avid car, golf and baseball fan – especially the Toronto Blue Jays. He loved bringing joy every Christmas season as Santa in Hamilton and Burlington Malls. Family meant everything to him, and we will miss him dearly. His presence lit up a room, and his absence leaves an ache in the hearts of all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Saturday, October 18 from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Smile and The Salvation Army.
