We were so very sorry to hear of Jackie's death. 
It is almost 70 years since the Litzen family built their cottage on what is now Vola Beach Lane. In addition to cottage time,  our lives have overlapped through church, curling and scouting.
We always enjoyed conversations with Jackie. There would be laughter for sure! She will be missed in so many ways....wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. We are thinking of you all at this sad time.

Jackie was like a ray of sunshine. She was one of our quilting ladies at Grimsby Seniors Centre. If anyone was having a bad day, along comes Jackie and there was no bad day thereafter. We all had families, siblings etc. and the stories we shared were for our ears only. Many good laughs were had in our group with her.  May she rest in peace with no more pain. We will miss her.

Vern and I were saddened to read of Jackie’s passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to you, Doug,  and to your entire family. Jackie always greeted me in a friendly manner when she saw me at church and always made me feel welcome and included. May God speed her journey home. 🙏🏻💕

Jackie was an entity unto herself. Family meant everything to her. Once you got know her you were in her fold and considered “family “ 

I feel privileged to have been a part of her “family”. My heart breaks that I cannot be there as support to all of you but know you are in my heart and prayers. Know I will be there for the difficult times ahead.

A friend once described Jackie as an M&M hard and crusty on the outside and mushy in the centre.  How true!

Over the years each time I saw both of you at Linden Park, my time spent with you was  always joyful and sacred.  I was always greeted and welcomed with open arms each time I came. So sorry to hear about Jackie, she was a loyal friend and always managed to have a good laugh even when things in Scouting got a bit hectic. We will miss her very much, she was a great person and friend to many .

I spent many a happy days with  Jackie through coaching in ringette and certainly when planning to take a team to Finland with Tara on the team.
The laughs we had with both Doug and Jackie delivering pizza flyers to raise money for the trip.
Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel and even though we have not seen her in several years, she often commented on my posts and I know I will sincerely miss her . I am presently travelling in Europe and will not make the visitation, my sincere condolences to Doug and the family.

I was so shocked to hear of Jackie's passing earlier today. My memories of her date back to my early childhood and throughout my adult life and our mutual connection of Linden Park Church and through my lifelong friendship with Kevin.  And of course her friendship with my late Mother.  My family's thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Whenever I think about my grandmother, I remember how she showed up everytime for my siblings, my cousins and myself. She was our biggest cheerleader. I remember the warm hugs with the pat on the back so tight that I wasn’t sure I could breathe still. I will forever cherish my memories growing up in the summers swimming in grammas pool while she sat on her patio l, talking to my about my mundane teenage problems. I will forever miss my grandmother. But I am so honoured to have been the granddaughter of a woman who brought joy to so many others lives.
