Jim quietly passed away surrounded by family in his home on Friday, March 18, 2011 in his 75th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Germaine (née Cloutier) in 2001. He will be dearly missed by James (Elizabeth) Anstee, Lynn Smith (Garry Francis), David Anstee (Alice Balogh), and Diane (Ernie) Passmore. A wonderful grandfather, Jim instilled wisdom in his nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his surviving brothers and sisters. Jim’s generous and helping nature has impacted everyone in his neighborhood; he made a real difference. According to Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 163, 435 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
