

Born in Hamilton on April 17, 1954, she was predeceased by her Mom, Norma Eleanor Gowman, and Dad, Leslie Arthur Gowman. Survived by her beloved sister, Barbara (Barb) Norma Hood, and her brother-in-law, David Howard Hood.
To my sister and my friend Barb and to my “brother” David, my heartfelt thanks for their continuous encouragement, prayers, love, and kindness.
To my extended family, Beverly, Walter, Curtis, and Ryan Lupton, my sincerest thanks for your support, friendship, kindness, and love.
Jan will be sadly missed by her relatives, neighbours and many dear friends, my sincerest appreciation for your friendship, concern, and support.
To Dr. Amanda Ramdyal and her team from Stone Church Family Health Centre, my sincerest appreciation and thanks for the kindness, caring, and support. To the Cancer Centre staff, thank you for making a difficult situation bearable. A thank you, to the nurses of St. Joseph Home Care, especially Miranda. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, for their loving care of Jan and her family during her stay.
A private family Internment Service was held at White Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to Celebration of Life Gathering at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
