Murray, Janine Betty (nee McCullough) Janine went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after a courageous battle on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 48th year. Loving wife of Ken. Cherished mother of Lauren and Spencer. Beloved daughter of Hugh and Doris McCullough, dear sister of Kathy Morris, Vince and his wife Lynn and Ross and his wife Catherine. Daughter-in-law of Allan and Nancy Murray, sister-in-law of Colin and his wife Sheryl, and Louise Murray-Leung and her husband Les. Janine was a fun-loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Janine was a devoted and much-loved teacher with the HWDSB, spending the majority of her years at Sherwood Secondary. She inspired and touched countless number of students who passed through her classroom. Janine will be sadly missed by the Reach Forth Sports community following over 30 years of amazing involvement and support. She began as a leader in the Gym Night ministry and has continued over the years, most recently serving faithfully on the board of directors and helping re-introduce the Gym Night outreach to the students of Hess St. School. Janine epitomized the mission of Reach Forth as she sought to share with everyone the good news of Jesus Christ. She was a blessing to many individuals through Reach Forth and her influence will continue for many years to come. Janine was an avid user of Twitter and Instagram, connecting with thousands of people, allowing her to share her passion for life and her genuine love of people. No one was a stranger to Janine. Janine’s Instagram pictures demonstrated her special talent in capturing the beauty of life. The family would like to thank the staff of E4 and CICU at Juravinski Hospital for the love and compassion shown to Janine. We extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Marcaccio. Visitation will be held at West Highland Baptist Church, 1605 Garth Street, Hamilton on Thursday from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. Funeral Service from the Church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Reach Forth Sports or to a trust fund which is set up for Lauren and Spencer’s Education.
