Jeanette Mabel Dell Jenkins (nee Austin)

Born in Hamilton, Ontario to Albert & Louise (Mancini) Austin on November 26, 1938. Predeceased by her husband of 65 yrs, Robert Jenkins (2024). She hoped for 3 sons and instead raised 3 daughters, that gave her 3 grandsons whom she loved and was immensely proud of.

Jeanette (aka Janet, Jan, JJ) was a beautiful, intelligent, artistic, strong willed, independent and stubborn woman. Mom was an accomplished singer with numerous awards through her teen years and many years in different Hamilton choirs. She was an excellent cake decorator and wonderful seamstress. Mom was an avid reader and loved to do her weekly crosswords.

She loved photography, genealogy, and tried very hard to keep up with technology. Favourite pastimes included shopping and eating out. Her greatest joy and companionship came from Zeus, her 2 yr old Bichon Frise. Left to mourn are daughters Nicole (Richard) Van Leeuwen, Robyn (Brian) Van Leeuwen, and Regan (Nelson) Fiuza. Grandsons, Christopher Martinelli, Hunter Comeau and Joshua Martinelli. Mom, you are now reunited with daddy. We love you both and will miss you always.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. On Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2pm-6pm.
