

Jeannette was born September 6, 1927 in Ottawa, where she spent her early years. She met Harold, her future husband, at a dance in Ottawa during WWII. They were married and made Hamilton their home for 53 years, until Harold passed. Loving mother of Robert and Betty Wood of Port Dover, Donald and Peggy Wood of Woodstock, and mother-in-law of Jeffrey Doll of Manotick. Beloved wife of the late Harold Wood (1999) and loving mother of the late Marilyn Doll. Predeceased by her parents George and Hedwig Foster of Ottawa, brothers Arthur, Joseph and Norman, and sisters Pearl Charron and Connie Kelly. Loving grandmother to Christopher, Mark, David, Matthew, Anthony, Kelly, and Scott. Proud great grandma to Isabella, Ashley, Eliana, Everett, Lachlan, Ridley, Harrison, Logan, and Nolan.
Jeannette’s joy of life took her to her curling rink in the winter and her golf course in the summer. She was always the life of the party, a people person who loved to socialize and dance. Jeannette was still dancing last summer at her grandchildren’s weddings. Jeannette will be greatly missed.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with private family services.
