Dear Martin family,


I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been praying for you guys as you grieve. Your wife and mother led an incredible life focused on Jesus and it was evident in all that she did. In the time that I knew her, she was always a blessing and an encourager to me. 

I'm so sorry that I couldn't make it to the celebration of life at Mohawk, as I have been dealing with some health issues. You guys are incredible! Love your family! May the God of all comfort continue to shower you with grace and love in this season. He is indeed close to the broken hearted.

Phil, thank you also for being such an inspiration to me in how you took care of Jen in her final times. You are a true example of love, commitment, and standing loyal to the "for better or for worse" promise we make as a spouse at the altar before the Lord.

Phil, you have been a role model for all family members who watdhed  in your care of Jennifer.  Your love was strong,  you met her needs every day before your own and that you will never regret. I knew Jennifer through the midwifery world. Her first catch as a student midwife at New Life Midwives was our youngest baby, Jules, born at our home into her loving hands. We kept in touch as I also became a midwife. Your daughter even babysat all my kids one night. I will remember Jennifer as a gentle human who exuded loving kindness. You are in our thoughts today, and we are praying that The Lord will provide you with peace and comfort in the days ahead.  We are remembering a consistently friendly, kind, bubbly and steady believer in Jesus.  That and so much more is Jennifer.

We met Jenn at ‘Morning Watch’ at FairHavens! We quickly realized that she was a woman of prayer and was passionate about Jesus Christ.
Jenn we rejoice that you know today the reason for the difficult road God asked you and Phil to walk! As a couple, you ministered profoundly to us about God’s Sufficiency in circumstances that we will not understand, this side of eternity.
Jenn, we thank God for your ministry!
Phil, we pray for comfort and God’s continuing sufficiency in what lies ahead … you are a loved brother in Christ!!

God blessed Rachel and I, when He sent the Christian Martin family to live next door to us approximately 10 years ago.  God knew we would need Jennifer in our lives.
  I was an unique much older senior neighbour raising a very young granddaughter/guardian , Rachel, now nineteen and loving the Lord immensely.
  Jennifer always listened and prayed with me.  She would arrange her busy family schedule to spend the time necessary when an issue developed.  I felt comforted by the words that flowed through her body how our Lord Jesus will help us, His way.  I can still her sweet loving voice in my kitchen.  She reminded me of the powerful words, that people cannot hurt you, fear is not of the Lord. He has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind.   These will be precious words forever! We will keep the Martin family in our prayers. It has been a great honour for Rachel and I to know Jennifer Martin! 
P.S: There is joy even in sadness for those who believe in Jesus Our Saviour.
P.S.S: It is remarkable the strength God gave to Philip her husband to help her through the journey  on earth, along with her loving family.

Jennifer was a lovely woman of God. I got to know her at Fair Haven's Women Conferences. She was on her own and joined in with our church for the weekends. We worshipped together, learned together, and had fun as we joined into activities. She was warm and caring and she is missed. 
Praying for her family as they say farewell to her in this world, but know they will see her again in heaven.

Seeing Jennifer at Fair Havens each summer over the many years was always an encouragement. Her genuine kindness and warmth made her someone people gravitated to for a conversation and to hear her wisdom and laughter. 
Her spirit was still evident, as she persevered with illness, but we rejoice in the knowledge she is restored in full, standing in heaven with her saviour now. She will remain an inspiration to those who knew her.

I remember years ago when we first met Phil and Jennifer and their kids.  It was at Fair Havens and the Season Siters had to have their fall Thanksgiving dinner at the Fair Glen dining hall because it was  a cold rainy weekend. I remember walking around greeting people and eventually introducing myself to the Martin family. We kind of lost touch for a few years, but I do remember this family being super sweet and very smart! Years later, I got to work with Jenn at the carnival selling snow cones to people. I’d love chatting with her and hearing what she had to say about  all sorts of things. Phil became the volunteer coordinator, a role for which he is wonderfully suited because of the kindness and care he brings  with organizing such a massive group. When she was ill, I loved seeing Jenn at Fair Havens whether or not she could look at me or talk or walk. It was good to be close to her, caress her cheek, speak words of  prayer and blessings to her. 
As followers of Jesus, we know that Jenn is made whole again and is rejoicing and dancing with the Lord Jesus.
May the Lord bring comfort and peace to Phil and their children.

We are so sorry for your loss! Jennifer was such an inspiration to me in my homeschool journey, and she was such a supportive friend. I'm glad that she got to share her birth story with me. She always pointed to Jesus with her words and attitude.

Jennifer had such a sweet spirit.  I had the privilege of meeting her at People's Church and attending bible studies with her.  My daughter Kristen and I served in the nursery at People's on Sunday mornings with her daughter Angela.
We always looked forward to seeing Jennifer and how she brightened up the room with her beautiful smile and presence.
She always spoke with such joy about her children and husband.

Praying for you today that God's strength will be there when yours is gone, that His Grace and Mercy will carry you on, that the unending love He has for you will lift you up and see you through this difficult season....Through it all, we give Him praise!

Dear Phil and your big family, I’m so sorry for your great loss. Just 7 days ago I finally understood the real meaning about, “Rest in Peace” it has become more real when you lose someone over a long period of time. 
So now Jennifer rests in peace🕊️ Best of all she is truly in the loving arms of Jesus Who actually died for her! 
Jennifer was a beautiful woman and those blue eyes wow, but throughly raising her children up to know their Saviour with so much love and loving you. 
As time goes by that love and most of all God’s love really will carry y’all. Thank you for always welcoming us into your home every Tuesday last summer to enjoy our Bible Study with you and dear Jennifer. Your are loved and we will see you soon. Our prayers will continue for your family.

My dear Phillip, my heart aches for you and your family. We met Jennifer several years ago at a ladies conference and she left a lasting impact on all our lives. She was an inspiration in her unwavering faith and her persistence as she continued to fight the fight. Our loss is heaven’s gain.  We have a hope that one day soon we will meet again and what a day that will be.  I wish I could be there on Saturday but I have a family wedding.
