Jerinka Belancic

She is reunited with her beloved husband, Drago. Cherished mother of Mary-Ann Taylor and Joe (Tamara). Devoted Baba of Blaise.

Jerinka immigrated to Canada to start a new life with her husband, where she worked hard to create a loving home for her family. She was a longtime employee at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board, where she retired as a housekeeper. She was well known for her cooking and baking, especially her famous strudel. She was also a proud gardener, spending much of her time there. Jerinka was actively involved with the Croatian community and established many long-term friendships.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, December 29 from 4-8 p.m. with Prayers at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday, December 30 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Instead of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton.
