Jessie Margaret Henderson

Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the young age of 95. Predeceased by her beloved husband John V. Henderson (2000). Loving mother of John B. Henderson and his wife Terry. Proud grandmother of Erin (husband Jason Young), Lindsey (husband Geoff Sherlock) and Christopher. Great-grandmother of Carson Stanley Young. As a teenager Jessie was an Olympic Class Hurdler, going to the Canadian Trials in Halifax. In her later years Jessie and John became members of the Glendale Curling Club, where they not only enjoyed playing, but enjoyed the social aspect, they made many wonderful friendships. Jessie loved her crossword puzzles which kept her mind sharp. She loved gardening with beautiful petunias, geraniums, and adored her rose garden. Traveling to Calgary during the Christmas season to visit John and Terry and their family was always a treasured time. Something that will always be fondly remembered. In keeping with Jessie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated.
