The family announces the peaceful passing of Joan, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph's Hospital on the evening of Saturday, November 13, 2010 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew, dear mother of son Andrew Jr. and his wife Joanne, daughter Monica and her husband Larry, daughter Agnes and her husband Roy and son Bruce and his wife Catherine. Youngest of six, she was a dear sister to Clara, Peggy, Muriel, Mavis, and Esther. Nanny of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Rose, her caregiver, and to St. Joseph's Hospital for the outstanding care that they provided. Friends may call at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main St. E. (east of Sanford), Hamilton, on Wednesday, November 17th from 1-2 p.m. Memorial service celebrating her life will follow in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital.
