Joanne Salovaara (nee Wooldridge)

Joanne passed peacefully on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at 2:15 p.m. with her sons and her husband by her side.

Joanne was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Hamilton, ON on November 9th, 1957 to Bob and Ruth Wooldridge.

Joanne was mother to Benjamin and Zachary. She raised her children with love and devotion in Oakville and Hamilton with her husband Paul.

As an Administrative professional, Joanne was known for her dedication, hard work and diligence. Joanne was a lover of music and played the guitar, she liked to crochet and enjoyed a good card game. She was most proud of her two sons.

She is survived by her beloved sons Ben and Zac, her husband Paul, her brother Ted (Jaye), and sister Jan.

The family would like to give special thanks to Nurse Mary-Anne, for being a friend and confidant, as well as to the nurses at Juravinski Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton, ON L9A 1T2, on Friday, December 29th, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. and service in the chapel at 2 p.m.

Joanne will forever be remembered as a dedicated mother, and someone who was direct with her words, clear in her beliefs, and straightforward with her love and devotion to her family and her friends.
