John Robert Bellingham

Peacefully passed away at Queen’s Gardens Long Term Care Residence, Hamilton on Friday, May 10, 2019 in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Eileen. Loving father of Cheryl Peters (Don), Lois Roberts (Phil), John T. (Sandra), and Jim (Diane). Special grandpa of Donnie Peters (Laura), Kerri Peters (Andy Roskaft), Gordon Roberts (Heather), David Roberts (Cynthia), Scott Roberts, John C. Bellingham, (Leslie), Victoria Moorhouse (Jeff), Bradley Bellingham (Melissa), Thomas Bellingham (Savannah), Christopher Bellingham, Lisa-Lyn Bellingham, and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Ellen Bellingham, and brothers Robert and Joseph. Survived by sisters-in-law Lena and Ruth.

John was a longtime employee of Stelco. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Queen’s Garden Long Term Care where John and Eileen have resided for the past 3 years, especially to the amazing care givers on Jamesville.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Ave.), Hamilton on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. In John’s memory, memorial donations may be made to your favourite children’s charity.

So sorry to hear of "Uncle" John's passing. I will always remember him as a man of great faith who cared deeply for family. You have had a long good-bye. We are away, but will be thinking of you all this weekend.
