Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at his home on Monday April 8, 2013; surrounded by his loving and caring family. Survived by loving wife Anne, sons Gary (Kimberley), Richard (Cathy) and daughter Laurie (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Ryan, Zachary, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Nicholas. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Ted and many nephews and nieces. Special thanks to Dr. Abe Szereszewski, Dr. Kim and staffs of Bayshore Home Health and CBI Home Care for their support. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday April 10, 2013 from 2:30-9:00pm. Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 63 Highway 20 East, on Thursday April 11, 2013 at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Building Fund would be appreciated.
