

Born May 31, 1923 in his 91st year. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years Betty (nee Hennen), brother Blair (Mary), sisters Doris Glover, Jean VanderBurg (William), Kay Behm (Fred), Joyce MacEvoy (Ashton), Phyllis Brown (Bertram) and brother-in-law William Whitworth. He leaves behind his three children Gregory, Elizabeth Purser (Don) and Patricia. His grandchildren Morgan Purser (Eric Virgin), great granddaughter Olive and Blair Manzato (Michael) and great grandson Logan and Emma, due in March. He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister Patricia Zakrewzewski, brother Rodger Glover, sister-in-law Mavis Whitworth and brother-in-law Brian Hennen (Margie). A life spent in sales, first cars then real estate which he retired from in his 80th year. Jack was a Champion Trap Shooter, 33rd Degree Mason - Hugh Murray Lodge, a memorable Santa Claus and loyal friend. With heartfelt thanks to the women of Tulip Garden, St. Joseph's Villa where Dad spent the last 7 1/2 years of this life. You saw through his bombastic outbursts, laughed with him and cared deeply for him. A special thanks to Leslie, Dawn, Erika and Candace who were with him from the start and to Lyndsay for all your kindness. There will be a memorial in the chapel of St. Joseph's Villa, (56 Governor's Rd.) Dundas at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, with a reception following in The Conservatory Lounge. Another reception will be held the same day at the home of Elizabeth Purser, 151 Delaware Avenue Hamilton from 3:00 p.m. on. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation. Please direct your remembrance for a new washer and dryer for Tulip Garden.
