He is reunited with his beloved wife Helen. Loving father of Annette McMinn (Tom), Cathy Spanik (the late Joe), and Andrena Murphy. Proud Poppa of Tara (Alaeric), Jenny, Josh (Lindsay), Kelsey (Sean), Alicia (Cobi), and Zack (Laura). Big-Poppa of Lauren, Michael, Kennedy, Jordyn, Caden, Ashtyn, Cassius and Oslo. Mel will also be dearly missed by Dave. Mel will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 5-8 pm and on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am in the funeral home's chapel.
