Now at rest, John passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2011 in his 96th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Adele. Sadly missed by daughters Lois Anderson (Rennie) and Doreen Schaefer (John). Missed by grandchildren Derek (Brenda), Dana and Kim (Richard). Remembered by great grandchildren Jessica, Brodey, Jack, Hanna an Johnathon. Will be greatly missed by his niece Krys and family. John was a proud War Veterian that served in the Second World War. Family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday April 18th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugenes Roman Catholic Church (232 Queenston Road,
Hamilton) on Tuesday April 19th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to Emmanuel House would be appreciated by the family.
