Peacefully at Wellesley Central Place, Toronto, on May 3, 2014 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Sarah. Loving father of Monica Rooney (Adam Edmonds) and Gerry Rooney. Cherished grandpa of Katie, Josh, Hunter, Sarah, Amy and Saffi. Dear friend of Eileen Brohman. Sadly missed by his siblings, extended family and friends. Joe was a retired employee of the Hamilton Spectator. He was a life time member of the British Imperial Club. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave., E., on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
