Joseph Louis Sikich

SIKICH, Joseph Louis Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Mary for 61 years. Devoted father of Cathie and Marc Bourgon, Debbie and Julius Csernyei, and Nancy Sikich. Proud grandpa of Katherine and Emilie Bourgon, and Andrew and Christopher Csernyei. Survived by his sister Anne and her husband Joe Matich and brother John and his wife Linda Sikich. Brother-in-law of Madeline and the late Matthew Lisac, Rose and John Ilecic, Stephen and Denise Markovich. Will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joe was a dedicated, retired employee of Burlington Steel and a 50 year member of C.N.H. and C.F.U., Lodge 644. Special thanks to Dr. J. Goffin and Beth, Dr. B. Golda, Jennifer Ramsey and all the C.C.A.C. support personnel for their kind and compassionate care. Visiting will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1774 King Street East at Kenilworth) on Friday, January 14th from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayer service Friday at 3 p.m. and funeral mass at St. Eugene's Church on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
