

Jo passed away peacefully on Friday morning at the Hamilton General Hospital. Cherished wife and best friend of the late Rodney Barnard, her beloved Rudy. Loving mother of Candy (predeceased) and son-in-law Victor Love, Mitchell Barnard, and Arlene and son-in-law John Wiseman. Adored grandmother of Wesley and Victoria Love, and Evan (Jordyn) and Erin Wiseman. Proud great-grandmother of Charlotte Wiseman. She will be dearly missed by her sister Betty (Len) Carter, brother Chris (Jennie) Tymchuk, brother-in-law Arthur (late Shirley) Barnard, and nephews and nieces Steve and Russ Carter, Alana DeSimone and Jay Tymchuk, Ted and Kathy Barnard, Sandra Sears, and Bob Brown. Predeceased by her brother Robert Tymchuk and sisters-in-law Jane Sears and Norah Barnard. Jo was born in Mundare, Alberta to the late Nicholas and Mary Tymchuk, and lived her early years on the family farm in Andrew, Alberta. Jo loved her family and friends deeply, always there with kind words of support and a caring heart. A special thank you to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and the Hamilton General Hospital for their care. The family will receive friends at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, November 16 at 10 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy would be appreciated by the family in Jo’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
