Unexpectedly on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 74th year. Daughter of Evelyn Taylor and the late Francis James Hitchins (1945). Survived by Dr. Frank Cooke and their children; Dr. Kevin Cooke (Dr. Catherine) of Hamilton, Terry Cooke (Maureen Wilson) of Hamilton, Kelly Lewis (Peter Reilly) of South Carolina, and Alison Cooke (Dave Brown) of Hagersville. Also survived by Frank Cooke Sr. (the late Dorothy). Doting grandmother of her grandchildren Rachel, Kezia, Jacob, Taylor, Lane O’Hara, Frances and Wilson. Sister of Gloria Jean Craft (Bruce) and the late John Duncan. Joyce was a resident of Twenty Place, Mount Hope and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Avenue) on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Binkley United Church, 1570 Main Street West, Hamilton on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
