Joyce Carolyn Mohrhardt

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Joyce Mohrhardt announce her passing on Friday, Jan 26, 2024 at Juravinski Hospital at the age of 84 with her two loving sons by her side.

She was born in Hamilton, ON and was the daughter of Phyllis (nee Hampson) and Robert McAllister.

Joyce leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her sons James (Patricia) Mohrhardt and Sydney (Cathy) Mohrhardt and grandsons James and Patrick Mohrhardt.

She will be sadly missed by her sister Marilyn Teuber and sister-in-law Glenys McAllister, along with nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her brother Mervin McAllister and brother-in-law Bernard Teuber.

Joyce will be missed by her cottage girlfriends Gale Meyer and Barb (Roy) Amey and her BFF and bingo buddy, Betty Wiltshire.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Joseph’s Health Centre, St Joseph’s Satellite Health Facility, Macassa Lodge and Juravinski Hospital for their exceptional care and support. Joyce was always treated with dignity, respect and warmth while receiving care and it was a comfort to her family. The family would also like to thank special PSW Helena for capturing Joyce’s heart and bringing her joy during her stay at St Joseph’s Satellite Health Facility.

Resting at Cresmount Funeral Home – Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton for visitation on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment at Hamilton Cemetery, 777 York Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
