Beloved daughter of Michael (pre-deceased) and Vally MacIsaac, cherished sister of Michael MacIsaac II (wife Summer) of Sudbury, ON, Jennie Vee (husband James McDonnell) of Los Angeles, CA and Matthew MacIsaac (wife May Tsang) of Burlington, ON. Loving Aunt to Madison, Alexis, Ethan, William and Hillary and treasured partner of Connor Lovat-Fraser. She will be sadly missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Julia graduated with an honors degree in Botany (Bachelor of Science) from Guelph University and studied Medical Laboratory Science at the Michener Institute in Toronto. She worked at both Mount Sinai Hospital in lab sciences and Sick Kids Hospital in Hematology, both in Toronto.
She was a loyal, kind, intelligent, understanding, supportive friend to many and loved by all. She was always the first to lend an ear or be a shoulder to lean on to those she cared about.
She loved swimming- a beach, a lake or a pool - being in the water brought her a lot of happiness.
She had a lifelong passion for “Lord of the Rings” even having won a trip to New Zealand to tour the set for the film based on her vast knowledge of trivia associated with the series. She reigned supreme over thousands of other entries in the competition with the most correct answers (100%) and the fastest time.
Julia loved animals and chose a vegan lifestyle for over 25 years. She had two beloved pet chinchillas- Casey and Finnegan. Animal welfare was a cause very, very close to her heart.
Strong, resilient, and determined, she was taken tragically, suddenly, and too soon. She will always be in our hearts, never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honour of Julia to the Canadian Chinchilla Rescue, the Gentle Barn, and Victim Services Toronto.
